With that much humidity though, be aware though of the regular 'tropical storms' that roll in frequently during the afternoons - when the temperature can drop quickly and the heavy rains fall for an hour or so. These occur most Summer days and are often welcomed by residents and hot, sticky theme park visitors .... as a way of cooling down.
On the whole you will adore the climate in Florida and it is perfect 'holiday' weather during the summer season.
Florida is also the 'thunderstorm capital' of the United States and from around June to September you can expect those brief afternoon downpours to be accompanied by spectacular lightning displays.
They rarely last long - unless of course it's 'Hurricane Season' when those brief rain torrents become prolonged torrential rain and wind that started as storms in the Caribbean .... though don't worry too much - very few make it to land and Floridians accept their occurrence as a part of their daily life.

It's no coincidence that the official nickname of Florida is 'The Sunshine State', with long hot summers and mild winters to tempt visitors to this great American State.
80 degree days are the norm throughout much of Florida during the Summer months. and even in Winter it it one of the warmest places to visit throughout USA.
Thankfully many shops are air conditioned to offer a much needed cooling down period during your hectic holiday schedule.
Don't know your Fahrenheit from your Centigrade's ?
